Windows 11 will be launched today on Thursday. Microsoft will organize a virtual launch livestream for the launch of its next generation Windows event, in which this new Windows operating system will be introduced. Microsoft has not yet publicly confirmed the name Windows 11, but the company has been teasing it as a “new version of Windows” for the past few days. The official invite hints at the moniker through the shadow of the window, in which the outline of 11 can be seen. This video was 11 minutes long, which indicates that it could be Windows 11. Apart from this, ISO leaks also indicate that Windows 11 can be introduced as a successor to Windows 10.

Talking about the features, the leaked build suggests that Windows 11 will come with a redesign treatment that will start from its boot screen and continue to the desktop. It will also get a new Start menu located in the center. Its overall interface will look quite similar to Windows 10X which Microsoft introduced in 2019 with dual screen devices, but it was discontinued by earlier this year.

Apart from the new interface-level changes, Windows 11 will feature new sounds. The new Split View option will also offer an upgraded multitasking experience. Additionally, Windows 11 may come with an improved Microsoft Store.

After the announcement of Windows 11, it can be made available to Windows 10 users. However, recent reports indicate that the new Windows will be available for free upgrade to Windows 7 and Windows 8 users.
