Windows 10 is being used by 270 million people worldwide

Microsoft on Wednesday announced that 270 million people around the world are using Windows 10 operating system. Microsoft, the world’s largest software maker, launched Windows 10 eight months ago.

In San Francisco Microsoft The company released this figure at the annual meeting for developers that started in 2015. After the failure of Windows 8, these figures definitely represent the huge success of Windows 10.

Microsoft also plans to remain active in the mobile world, where Amazon Inclusive, Apple, and Alphabet Inclusive have captured the majority of customers and developers.

One of the major reasons for the massive success of Windows 10 since its launch in July last year is that it is available for free download for the first year for every user. Enterprise customers have to pay for Windows 10.

The company also announced that the Windows 10 Anniversary upgrade, to be released this coming summer, will also be free to users.

The company said before the launch that its goal was to have 1 billion devices equipped with Windows 10 in a few years.

However, the company has not yet given any information about the type of device running on Windows 10. Microsoft still dominates the personal computer market but its hold in the smartphone market is very less.

According to technology research firm IDC, this year the share of Windows Phone in the global market will be just 1.6 percent. Whereas Google’s Android will have 83 percent and Apple’s iOS will have 15 percent market share.

Microsoft’s biggest problem is its apps, which makes Windows mobile devices lag behind Android and iOS. Windows mobile devices fail to attract customers.
