This crossover utility vehicle will have the comfort of a sedan and space like an SUV. Windsor EV has been made available in three variants – Excite, Exclusive and Essence. It will compete with Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Motors’ Nexon EV. MG Motor has started the option of battery rental to make its EV affordable. Due to this, the starting price of the company’s lowest priced electric car Comet EV has reduced to Rs 4.99 lakh. For this, customers will have to pay battery rate of Rs 2.5 per kilometer.
Windsor EV has connected LED lights on both the front and rear. It has 18-inch alloy wheels for better aerodynamics. Its front has the MG logo below the connected LED DRL strip. It has a charging port on the front left fender. This electric crossover utility vehicle is available in four colors – Pearl White, Clay Beige, Turquoise Green and Starburst Black. Its cabin has been designed keeping in mind the experience of both luxury and technology. It has been given black leatherette seats. Its flat bottom steering wheel is also wrapped in leatherette.
Reclining seats are provided in its rear. The Windsor EV has a 15.6″ touchscreen on its dashboard. Along with this there is an 8.8 inch digital display for the driver. It also has features like automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, powered driver seat and panoramic glass roof. Its 38 kWh battery generates 136 PS power and 200 Nm torque. Its range on a single charge is approximately 331 kilometers. Initial customers of Windsor EV will be given full warranty on the battery.
