Infosys Gets Strict warning, Workers Union Will Protest Against Company if Joining of Freshers is delayed, Microsoft, TCS, Google

Infosys, one of the big software companies, had to face criticism for postponing the joining of new graduates. Recently, the company had issued offer letters to these freshers. A union of software workers has warned that if the joining date of freshers is postponed, then protests will be held against the company.

A media Report According to, the Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) has said that the joining of these freshers will be monitored. Harpreet Singh Saluja, President, NITES said, “After continuous efforts and a formal complaint from NITES, Infosys has issued appointment letters to over 1,000 graduates from campus hiring. These young engineers were waiting for joining for almost two years. Infosys has given them a joining date of October 7. This is a big victory for NITES and all the students who stood strong despite the uncertainty and delay. If the joining date is violated, they will not hesitate to protest outside the company’s office.”

These freshers were offered appointment in the company in 2022 as system engineers. They were also instructed to attend two pre-training sessions. However, their joining has been delayed a lot. Regarding this, Infosys CEO, Salil Parekh said, “We will fulfill every offer and these people will join Infosys. We have adjusted some dates. Apart from this, there is no change in our stand.

In the past few years, complaints related to software companies postponing the joining of freshers have increased. This year, many tech companies have also done layoffs. A few months ago, Microsoft, one of the big IT companies, laid off more than 1,000 workers from its mixed reality unit. This unit was related to the HoloLens 2 augmented reality headset. There were also layoffs in the team related to Microsoft’s cloud software and service rental business. Earlier, the company had decided to lay off about 1,900 workers from its gaming division. These included workers from Activision Blizzard and Xbox.
