Apple MacBook Air 2018 launched, know price and specifications in India

Apple launched MacBook Air 2018 along with iPad Pro, Apple Mac Mini 2018 in New York on Tuesday. The design of MacBook Air has not changed since 2010. The new MacBook Air uses Retina Display, Touch ID (equipped with Apple T2). Apple T2 chip also works as Secure Enclave in Touch ID, SSD controller and image signal processor. The new MacBook Air will be sold in Gold, Silver, Space Gray colors. During the event, the $1,399 (about Rs 1,02,900) model was also unveiled, apart from 256 GB SSD storage, the specifications of this variant are the same. It is not yet known what will be the price of this variant in India.

MacBook Air Price in India

The new MacBook Air has 8 GB (2133 MHz RAM) (up to 16 GB), 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 processor (3.6 GHz Turbo Boost) with Intel UHD Graphics 617 and 128 GB SSD (up to 1.5 TB) storage. This model is priced at $1,199 (approximately Rs 88,200). The Mac Mini and MacBook Air 2018 will go on sale in the US and India from November 7. In India, the price of this variant is Rs 1,14,900. The price is slightly higher than the previous model.

MacBook Air specifications and features

The new MacBook Air has a backlit keyboard, let us tell you that there will be a separate light for all the keywords. The new MacBook Air has a 13.3-inch Retina display (2560×1600 pixels). The aspect ratio of the screen is 16:10. The color of the display is 48 percent more. Compared to the previous model, the new MacBook Air comes with 50 percent thinner bezels. Apple has given stereo speakers with more bass and three-mic array in MacBook Air. On the left side you have a USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 port which includes power, USB, Thunderbolt connectivity, HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort and eGPU connectivity support.

There is a 720p FaceTime HD camera and a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the top of the display. For wireless connectivity, there is WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth version 4.2. MacBook Air comes with a 50.3Wh battery that gives 12 hours on wireless web browsing, 13 hours on iTunes movie playback and 30 days of standby time.
