Motorola to Launch Edge 50 Neo Next Week in India, 50 Megapixel Sony Primary Camera, Vivo, Samsung, Oppo

Motorola, one of the big smartphone companies, introduced the Edge 50 Neo in Europe last month. This smartphone will be launched in India next week. The company has earlier given information about the design and some features of this smartphone. Motorola Edge 50 and Edge 50 Pro of this series are already available in the country.

Edge 50 Neo will be launched on September 16. It will be sold through e-commerce site Flipkart. The company has informed about getting five years of OS upgrade and five years of security upgrade with it. Artificial Intelligence (AI) features like AI Style Sync, AI Magic Canvas will be given in it.

This smartphone will have an LTPO display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness level of 3,000 nits. Its triple rear camera unit will have a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700C primary camera. Apart from this, there will be a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. Its display will come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

India has become the second largest market for 5G smartphones by defeating the US in the first half of the current year. In the first half, shipments of 5G smartphones in the country have increased by 60 percent compared to the same quarter last year. Most smartphone companies have launched new handsets in this market. Market research firm Counterpoint’s report states that international shipments of 5G smartphones have increased by 20 percent year-on-year in the first half of the current year. With this, the share of 5G devices in all shipments of smartphones has increased to more than 50 percent. Customers in emerging markets are looking at 5G smartphones as an upgrade option. China ranks first with about 32 percent share in international shipments of these smartphones. India is followed by about 13 percent share. American devices maker Apple is at the forefront of this market with more than 25 percent share. The company’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 series have received good response from customers.
