Microsoft started this bug finding program in 2012. Now it has been extended to Windows 10 as well. According to a post on the company’s website late Wednesday night, the reward will be given for information about any critical bugs like code execution, elevation of privilege or design flaws that put customer privacy and security at risk.
The company has said while announcing“If a researcher reports a bug that Microsoft already knows about, the first researcher will be awarded a maximum of 10 percent of the highest prize.”
Other technology companies such as Google, Facebook and Apple offer similar rewards to people who discover bugs and defects in their software.
